Informed Consent for Participation in a Research Study
You are invited to participate in a research study that aims to assess the readiness for adopting electronic health records (EHRs) among final year medical students at the University of Ghana. The study is being conducted by Gabriel Jamal Peazang Ibrahim from the Department of Health Policy Planning and Management at the University of Ghana. The purpose of this consent form is to provide you with information about the study and to obtain your voluntary consent to participate.
Procedures:
If you agree to participate, you will be asked to complete an anonymous questionnaire that contains 12 questions organized into 4 sections. The questionnaire will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Your responses will provide useful data on EHR adoption readiness among this important target group of future physicians in Ghana.
Risks and Benefits:
There are no known risks associated with participating in this study. However, the study may benefit the medical community by providing insights into the readiness of medical students to adopt EHRs.
Confidentiality:
Your responses will be kept confidential and anonymous. No personal identifying information will be collected, and your responses will be stored securely on a password-protected computer.
Voluntary Participation:
Participation in this study is voluntary. You may choose not to participate or to withdraw from the study at any time without penalty or loss of benefits to which you are otherwise entitled.
